Palm Tree Studio
is building Cue.
An on-device companion for iPhone with a personality of its own. It reacts to what's happening on your phone, and sometimes goes its own way.

A personality of its own.
Cue isn't an assistant. You don't ask it for anything. It has moods, a hobby it keeps coming back to, and a temperament: poke it too much and it goes quiet for a while, then comes round on its own. Once in a while a scene dresses it up, and on a rare day it turns into something else entirely, a toy robot or a little ghost.
Cue in a hero costume swinging into the city
It reads your day.
Cue decides for itself what to be, from what your phone already knows: charging beside you, the half-hour around sunset, the weather outside, your activity rings, the day ahead in your calendar, the track that's playing, a full-moon night. Seventy-four little states, and it picks its own.
Cue sitting beside the charger, filling up
It talks back. And remembers you.
The words come from the on-device model, the speaking and the listening happen on the phone. Cue starts the chat, decides when it has run its course, and brings back what you told it days later, a passing line or a question of its own. You can read every fact it keeps, and one tap makes it forget.
Cue on the street meeting the dog it knows, with a speech bubble
It has a life of its own.
Little multi-day storylines, characters that come back, a home-screen widget that drifts through its moods whether or not you open the app, a word through the Dynamic Island when it has something to say. And in the small hours it's in bed, fast asleep. It never guilt-trips you. If anything, it would rather you put the phone down.
Cue asleep in bed at night
Coming soon.
Everything Cue senses, says and remembers stays on the phone. No account, no sign-up. If you want to hear when it lands, or have a thought about it, say hello.
