Palm Tree Studio
has shipped Cue Quest.
A platformer for iPhone: fourteen stages told as one night. Cue follows the light of his bedside lamp into the city to bring back what the Tinker's drones carried off.
One night in the city.
The Tinker's drones carry off every light in the city. Cue can't sleep, follows the glowing thread of his bedside lamp out of the window and goes to bring the lights back. Fourteen stages with short cut scenes between them, one story from bedtime to morning.

Run, jump, ride your jets.
The Quest levels are the spine: rooftops, a workshop, a foundry, a tower in a storm. Jump the gaps, time the presses and the saws, ride the jets over what you can't jump, collect the screws and keep out of the pigeons' way. The controls are held pads drawn for a thumb, not a gamepad on glass.

Seven games inside the game.
Between the levels Cue steps into games from his own world and changes shape for a while: four shades of green on an old handheld, a robot shell through the jet gates, a sheep in a hat racing home to the barn, a dive mask in a flooded cave, a ghost holding his breath to slip through the catacomb walls, three laps in a kart, drifting into the bends for a boost. Every stage has an end, and the change happens right there in the world.
A dragon catches the lights.
Ember Pass is flown by someone else. A little dragon, hatched from an ember a few stages earlier, takes to the sky while the Tinker's tower drains the city, catches as many of the stolen lights as it can and brings them back. The light it carries home turns Cue into a wizard.

At the top of the Glass Tower.
In a storm, the Tinker is waiting, and his machine is about to put the whole city under the tower. The last stage is a duel of runes: draw them with a finger, shield yourself from his spells and throw them back.

Out now. Free.
Cue Quest is on the App Store for iPhone, free, with no accounts, no ads, no tracking and nothing to buy inside. Your game is saved on your device only; your yard keeps your best lap, your race place and your finished runs. If something's off, or you've just brought the last light home, say hello.
iPhone, iOS 26 or later. Rated 9+.
